About Meg
Meg/Mack Walsh (they/them/theirs) is a filmmaker based in Minnesota. They are pursuing their MFA in Documentary Film at DePaul University. Much of Meg's work centers around identity and marginalization, as well as notions of home and belonging.
Their work has screened at various North American film festivals and at online events. Most recently, their short film By the Time I Reach Him won Best Documentary and received an Honorable Mention by the Jury at Premiere Film Festival in Chicago. The film has gone on to screen at The Chicago International Film Festival where it participated in the festival’s Documentary Short Film Competition. They are editing a feature-length documentary directed by Adewole Abioye, which is currently in post-production.
They also work as a freelance video editor and are always looking for new projects and collaborations! They’ve worked on videos for DePaul University, Chicago Housing Authority, Chicago Alliance Against Racial and Political Repression, Perforce Software, and more.
